The tenant was fired from his job and may be in jail. He had numerous warrants out on him for bad checks and who knows what else. Does anybody know how to collect? I don't want to push this guy because frankly I am scared of him.

Hi,
If you won a judgement in court, you will be able to file it and wait until you find an asset of the tenant's to attach it to. Whether it is a salary, car, bank account,it's up to you (or the lawyer or collection agency) to attach it. The judgement is good for 10 years and can be renewed for another 10.
Your county sheriff can probably explain how it's done in your county. Good luck.
