You are not being evicted. An eviction is a court order. What you have received is a 30 day notice to vacate based on the fact that you do not have a lease. Without a lease, either party can terminate the agreement by merely giving 30 days notice. This is state law. No reason is needed for this. The season of the year or who is in your family has no bearing on this notice. You have 30 days to move out. If you fail to, the LL can and will file for eviction in court. If this happens, you can be set out on the street by a sheriff after the court case is final. This would not be good during the holidays. Find a new place and move before the 30 days.
