Did you pay your rent?? WHo cares if you have a 15 year old - PAY YOUR RENT and you wont have a problem.

Too many people try to hide behind children. Our laws are SOOOOO terrible.

The poster has no problem with the rent. She isn't actually being evicted, but has just confused the notice to vacate on a month to month tenant with an eviction notice. (Very common) As I am sure you know, a notice to vacate has nothing to do with rent. Any LL can ask a tenant to vacate with no reason unless the unit is under rent control or in one of 2 states that require just cause. The poster is not under any of these exceptions. She is merely being asked to move based on the month to month law. He rent may well be current, but that has no bearing on being asked to move out.
