What do you mean the guy is moving his stuff into the apartment, the super that was fired is moving in where he has no business moving in, no lease and has not paid anything? If I understand that correctly, how is he moving into an apartment without giving him possession?

Please clarify further so that you can get proper advice.

A friend of the old Super that was helping him fix it up. He had keys due to this fact and is now just moving his stuff in. the owner knows nothing and has only paid about a third of the security but has no receipt for it. Has paid no first months rent just about 150.00 or so he says but cant prove. And has no lease of any kind. And the owner of the building has no notice he was moving in due to the horrible condition of the apartment.

Sounds like the owner is putting you in the middle of something he should handle himself. You should tell the owner to handle this, since he/she knows what is really going on. If the guy has no business moving in, the owner can change the locks.

The owner has/had no idea what is going on he spoke to the officers I was speaking to about an hour ago and told them he does not want him in the apartment and that he was to be removed.... They did nothing:( I have lived in this town for a few months now after living in 2 other states and have found the police are the least helpful here than any other state i have visited or lived.

Everybody is making this thing too complicated. Change the locks and explain to the guy moving in it was by the owners orders. Tell him he can get a police stand by to move his things out but he can not move anything else in. If he claims he paid something to somebody, explain that he will have to go to small claims.

he actually broke into his ex girlfriends apartment who also lives in the building this morning. And she was screaming for someone to call the cops. So this is how bad the cops are in my town. They came i brought them to her apartment where he broke into and she answered the door with marks on her face nothing that serious i guess but marks. glass was shattered all over the place and he smashed her phone. They spent 30 seconds talking to her then questioned me for an hour and I told them all about what is happening they spoke to the owner of the building also over the phone and said nothing we can do and left. I dont believe there is nothing they could do because this city's police has a rep as one of the worst.
