My daughter is in a relationship with a man, who is a registered sex offender. He is the father of her two children. I own a house that I will soon be living next door to. I will be renting my house to them. Is there I anything I need to do to notify the neighborhood? Thank you.

No, you are under no obligation to notify anyone. The information is availble to the public through the sex offenders registry website.

Be warned, your neighbors will hate you for renting to him and there may be vandalism... Not a judgement, just a common thing.

Is your state one that requires pediphiles to put a large sign in the front yard and notify the police department of their address? If not, you should go door to door in your neighborhood and inform all the neighbors that your daughter is moving in a registered sex offender and where he will be living. Explain that he is not her husband but that they are only in a relationship that produced her two children. Tell the neighbors to keep their children inside and give everyone a photo so they know what the guy looks like.

I suggest you follow the advice posted already from OK-LL, a real LL sticking to the question at hand and trying to help. I wish the Anonymous posters would do something so we could tell you apart. One is posting "Stop Judging" and one is posting nothing but Judgmental Crap. Hey, maybe it's the same poster?? Slight personality disorder?? = Texanonymous
