does "I won't be living here, but I'm gonna store my stuff at my uncles apt(he wants to rent one) & get dressed here in the morn before I go to work" not equal you're a tenant too????

If nothing else, those who maintain clothes, or perform regular functions normally done in one's home (shower, get ready, eat meals, sleep, relax, etc), have at a minimum, turned the place into a secondary residence. In my mind as a landlord, that requires clearance from me for the applicant as they are setting up residency, even if not primary.

I would tell him it's not a storage facility. You're either a tenant or not, and if you aren't you can't even change your clothes in the morning there.
