Electric Stove

There is an electric stove in my rental property and everything works except for the digital reading regarding the temperature of the oven. You can see some of the digits but not all of them. My tenant is wanting me to get another stove and I don't think that I need to get another stove because there's nothing wrong with the stove that's there, other than the digit numbers. It'll cost me just as much to repair the digit lighting than it would to purchase a new or used stove. What's your thought on this? My thought is that any cook should know when food is done in the stove and it shouldn't be a big deal. The tenant is real nickpicky but yet she can never seem to pay her rent ontime and I have to charge her late fees.

I would recommend getting one that is accurate. If that means getting one that is much less quality and doesn't have a digital reading, then so be it, so long as it functions properly.

Why not just get a cooking thermometer -- I keep one hanging from my stop oven shelf all the time just to be certain that the temperature on the readout is still reflecting the actual temperature in the oven. They're less than $5. Problem solved.
