It is stated in the lease that if the dog/s are not contained or are a hazard to anyone that I have the right to ask them to remove the dog. I was hoping someone here could help me figure out the language to use in the notice. Thank you.

Next time you write a lease, try some language like this... Dogs, cats or any other type of animal is expressly prohibited from occupying the premises. All violations of this clause will immediately be a cause for eviction. Be sure to check Google for the Cure or Quit form.

Based on your own wording, you can ask but you can't make the tenant remove the dog. Also, due to your wording you can't serve lease violation notice or evict for this. Best you can do is not renew lease when up.
