My daughters had filed a small claim against a friend/roomate a few years ago, and they received a letter from one of those TV court shows asking them to bring their case to them. They were going to but the defendants dads shot it down and hired her a lawyer to fight it here.

Another interesting note on those TV court shows -- the money judgments are paid by the show, not by the plaintiff or defendant! That's probably why so many folks are willing to air their stupidity on national TV.
