If you were having open heart surgery would you go to the cheapest heart surgeon??
Home Depot will give you a bid on repairs etc.

Wow, you went from offering advice on home repairs (or giving an obscure off base life lesson, how ever you choose to view it) to a fellow landlord to referencing heart surgery as an equivalent! That doesn't even begin to compare. This is hardly life or death. Give the guy/girl a break here people...they're worried about damage to their property, simply asked if you knew any good contractors so they could get them fixed; then the work goes to the lowest bidder. Dosen't sound too wild and crazy to me. If all you want to do is badger them over asking for help and admitting to giving the labor to the lowest bidder (since they are obviously not rich like you), I say get a life.

You will probably not find any "good contractors" here....so far none have replied. Home Depot is the low bidder in my opinion, if that is what you want. I guess it goes whitout saying, but still I must~you get what you pay for. Man up and figure it out yourself, then get help from the Depot and they install etc.
