Roland, discrimination is a word that mean using your judgment to make decisions based on the facts before you. Discriminating taste, for instance. The legal term "discrimnation" is showing an illegal bias against certain protected classes as defined by Fair Housing Act or other governmental authority. If you don't ever discriminate in you day to day life, you'll be taken advantage of by any and all. And no, "paying your debt to society" does not give one a free pass so that others ignore their criminal history and tendencies.
