Bi-weekly Rent without a written Lease by Anonymous on December 27, 2009 @17:45

I reside on the campus of a ministry in Seminole County, FL. My roommate & I pay rent twice a month & have done so for 6 months, never executing a written lease agreement. Under these circumstances, where there's no lease, term, etc., is the Landlord required by FL law to provide a written notice to vacate & if so, is it to match the 2 week rental payment schedule that I my rent? Please advise.

FL law on m2m tenants is a 15 day vacate notice. Since you have no lease, you fall under these guidelines.

Usually ministers and religious setups are very fair with their rentals. Ask the person you rented from what their policy would be in this situation, they will probably tell you....
