tracking down ex-tenants through work by Anonymous (WA) on February 8, 2010 @20:59
I am trying to track down a couple of ex-tenants that skipped out and left owing rent and damages. Need a current address to file judgement.I have reason to believe one is still working at the same job but want to make sure before turning info in to courts. I thought of calling from a friend's phone and saying I am a prop. mgr. (of another prop. than my own) and am checking out the employee's references for a new property rental...and maybe they will say--that person no longer works here or will confirm that they do.
Anone have some other creative ideas that might sound convincing enough to use in this situation?
Thanks!
Anyone

As I understand it, you can use the last known address to obtain & file a judgment if no other address is available.

Why don't you just call the HR department or personnel and ask for employment verification? If they ask why, just state it is for housing. (It is related to housing.) Most HR departments never question this. Keep it to routine q's - is this a current employee, start date, job title, and does he/she work full time? Then say thank you politely and hang up.
