Why don't you just call the HR department or personnel and ask for employment verification? If they ask why, just state it is for housing. (It is related to housing.) Most HR departments never question this. Keep it to routine q's - is this a current employee, start date, job title, and does he/she work full time? Then say thank you politely and hang up.
