Can I throw out his stuff

My renter moved out and left a couch he got from the dump and some blankets. When can I throw them out? He left during the eviction process. I doubt he will ever come back for them and I want them gone. They are disgusting.

Take pictures first then throw them out. I say take pics so you can put them on the LPA's eviction pictures page!

I hope your "doubt" holds in court in case he sues you for it. Typically (check you state law for abandoned property), you have to store it for safekeeping for 30 days and at the same time sending him a notice to pick it up. I would say CYA but in the end, it's your call.
