How much money you have or do not have does not apply to this place. How your fiance treats you and your daughter does not matter either. How much the neighbor does or does not drink doesn't matter either.

What matters is that the LL owns the property, not you. If he wants you out your going to have to move. Sounds like the LL either has some other tie to the neighbor, or you are not telling the whole story and are a big part of the problem (If I had to guess, I'd guess the latter.)

You are right-there are 4 apartments in this building and the LL is dating a woman who lives upstairs, and this woman is close friends (bet it's more than that) with the guy that my fiance punched who lives on the bottom floor next to us, and the older woman above us' daughter-in-law works for the landlord at a butcher shop, and she and her husband, and 2 kids are currently living up there too as they are building a house that isn't finished yet. The guy that used to live in the apartment we are in was a good friend of the guy my fiance punched, but he totally destroyed the place so landlord kicked him out. The guy lost his job, couldnt pay rent-LL let him stay here for 8 months not paying rent, guy called LL and said he got a new job but still didn't pay.
