Googled RI LL/T law and found information indicating RI is a literal state in regard to M2M or greater tenancies. Therefore, you can give notice (must be postmarked MORE than 30 days prior to the termination date stated in the notice) tomorrow and the termination date can be 31 days from tomorrow, assuming you mail the notice tomorrow.

Clarification: Unless RI is very different from most states, if you have a lease with these tenants, you must post RI cure/quit notice and then file eviction if not cured.

Just wanted to update this, since things have changed. I sent a termination notice to the woman on 8/20. The day she received it, the other tenants called the police on her 4 times. She was arrested the final time for disorderly conduct and obstruction of justice from what my other teneants told me.

Is it possible now to eveict her faster than the 30 days??

My other tenants are concerned for their safety and I do not want to lose them or have them withhold rent. It seems unfair to all that i cannot get a potential hazard out of my house faster.
