Re: Cracked toilet tank - Landlord Forum thread 225998

I owned a bar once. Had the tank break and water all over. It happens when someone leans back against the tank with quite a bit of weight or force.

It doesn't happen accidentally.

True, True.

I had a big fat guy lean back too hard every time sat on the toilet. Over time he loosened the tank bolts and caused a leak between the tank and the bowl. The downstairs tenant was always the one who noticed because fatty would never be able to bend over to see the leak under the toilet. This leak happened a few times until I went over and secured a small block of wood between the tank and the wall. It never happenned again. Fat guy can lean his back against the lid & tank to his heart's content.

I love calling him "Fatty".
His name is Ferdinand and his family calls him Ferdi but with the accent sounds like FATTY! Lol! Sorry I mean no offense to the gravity handicapped!
