Katiekate, you're one of the better posters on here but you're misinformed on the difficulty of bank transfers these days. I have done bank transfers between big commercial banks and small time credit unions all via my accounts on their respective online banking sites. I've never paid a fee and it's quite easy to setup.

Furthermore, some of the bigger commercial banks such as chase and citi have their own respective online money sending services which don't cost anything to use.
