I have a similar situation...if for whatever reason I can't leave within the time they give me and they start with an eviction and take me to court how long can that process last

You do NOT want to have an eviction on your record it will destroy any chance you have of every renting a decent place, trash your credit. It will follow you and when you want to buy a car or house this will get in the way. If you are on a month to month lease then you need to start looking for a new place to live. Read your lease to find out how you end it without any ramifications to you. If it is month to month you may need to give 30 days notice.

Hopefully nobody here will help you figure out a way to be a problem for your landlord. You need to move. You have been given notice. Of course you could also discuss your situation with your landlord and perhaps offer to pay him for extra time until you have relocated.
