Is the pronoun I still required to be capitalized or did the rules change when no one was looking.

Some people use "texting" language for everything now. It is impossible to read (for me) and seems to me to show a real lack of education and maturity. Anyway, capitalization is out the window because of the extra effort involved on those little bitty keyboards. (get an iphone...it fixes everything...even changes your swear words into something nicer!)
