Expect that renting to people who live with animals to be more problematic and for sure more expensive in terms of damages to your property. In spite of what applicants tell you, expect many to have a Pit Bull or mix thereof that they will try to pass off as some other breed. Cats are another story.

So wait you are saying that renting to people with pets are more problematic and more expensive?

Given that you understand this concept why would you not charge someone more rent due to the additional problems and expense?

Jake I enjoy your posts and line of thinking most all of the time.

Is it not just wise business to evaluate costs and perhaps charge more for something that is going to cost you more?
