If you want removed from the lease, it your responsibility to do so. You wife cannot do it for you. You must contact the management and get a written release from your contractual obligations from them.

If a husband tenant tells the landlord that he wants his name removed from the lease b/c he does not live in that property, then the landlord could get a hard time to see if the husband lives there or not. More, the landlord cannot stop the husband and wife live together in the same property. What are the procedures and/or document needed for the landlord to take off a spouse name from the lease?

No. An landlord probably needs something to assure to remove a husband from the lease. No just because a husband asks for. For example, many tenants love to live in a property. No becuase they ask, then they can move in and live there. Screening tell the procedure and document.
