I wonder what the responses here would be if you simply didn't mention they were military. Hmmm, yeah that's what I thought.
As for military renters, they do get paid and receive bennies the rest of us don't, courtesy of our taxation, so those who responded in such a way, please drop the dramatics.
I'm not knocking the risk and sacrifice aspect of being in the military but we're all in business here and letting emotions enter into it is not optimal.
To the OP, I bet next time you drive by, you'll say something right away as opposed to waiting until lease end.

The landlord pointed out he was renting to 'Military Couple'. He also was interested in how to charge them for something that did not occur as of yet! No, emotions did not enter into it, just pride and thankfulness that they chose to enter the military to all of our benefits. That, everyone should be thankful for. Regarding the lawn and sprinkler system, if the landlord had the system professionally taken care of before winter, them nothing should be wrong. The lawn could be damage due to the winter weather, how would that be the tenants fault, weather they are military or not?
