If you allowed the installation, any additional cost to the tenant should have been agreed to at that time. How much are you expecting the plugging of three holes to cost anyway?

Jake it really isn't the three holes in the subfloor, it is three holes in carpet, and the vapor barrier. If I have only had this rental property on the market for less than three years, and I extrapolate the data... Would I have 8+ holes in 5 more years or 13+ holes in 10 years all within inches of each other? Not at the property above, but another one. The installer (new) did not realize the carpet was loop weave and did not cut a "X" through it for the drill bit. The drill caught the loop and put a 10' run in brand new carpet. And yes I held the tenant responsible and I notified cable company of my unsatisfaction.
