Sorry to say but you are the perfect example for what I try to get through to tenants. An Eviction is forever. Circumstances may have been difficult for you and you wound up in that position (we don't know your story) but the fact is you have been evicted TWICE! It is public record and LLs who do checks will see this. In some cases, if you can prove to a potential LL that you are stable now - employment records, etc. should help - you may be able to rent somewhere decent, but it will take some work on your part.

It's a hard lesson to learn. Good luck in the future.

How can u sit here and tell someone that's what u try and tell your tenants get real if someone could prevent it they would of. God will come down on anyone who has detered a person from surving. You could have asked him to leave the property and make a payment arrangements to pay u back and if he didn't pay you back them civil court would be another option. And if he wouldn't move out then evict him but to keep him down for life is a penalty from god that u will haft to indure not him.. but the different is life is only momentarily and judgement will have a forever impact good luck ass hole.

Despite what you say, evictions are not forever. Yes they do hinder tenants from obtaining a lease a lot easier than most but it doesn't make it impossible. There are alternatives they can use; albeit frustrating but still possible. And since legally the evictions can only be reported for 7 years, that makes your statement even less valid because even if a person has to wait they can still find a home especially if they explain their circumstances and prove their reliability. In short, you're the kind of landlord that doesn't seem to understand that life happens even when you think you're prepared for it.

I have a question for you.... You said that it would take some effort on his part what do you mean by that... My fiance has an eviction on his record and we cant figure out where hes been evicted from. We had a landlord try to evict us but when we came up with the money and told him we would move out to please stop the eviction he said he would... we also paid his court fee... Im 7 and a half months pregnant and we are trying to find a decent place to live and when we thought we had found a place thats when we realized that there was an eviction on his record... Help Please...
