I live in an apartment have 2 babies, and my landlord needs me to move for 2 days because he is going to repair the bathroom, does he has to pay for the place where im staying??.

No. He only needs to prorate the rent.

Your LL is under no legal obligation to pay for your lodging OR your food OR pay for your "inconvenience." As the other poster mentioned, the LL is only responsible to prorate the rent. If you had renters insurance, you'd probably be covered. Don't you wish you had renters insurance?

The landlord must prorate your rent, as the lack of bathroom will render the place uninhabitable (which means he cannot legally charge you for that time). Be sure to get it IN WRITING that he is going to remove the repair days from your rent - in writing in a separate letter, not simply a note on your "reduced" check.

Of course the necessity for prorating the rent depends upon whether the T caused the damage.

Correct answer to your question is dependent on what state you are in and whether you caused the damage being repaired.

So - take a vacation for a couple of days. Go visit a friend or family. Rent a cabin on a lake or room at the beach for a weekend and leave - knowing that you will be coming back to a nice new bathroom. Jeeze - this isn't rocket science to figure out folks. A few years ago a place where I lived needed some major work, all the residents griped and stayed in a nearby roach motel. We gave ourselves a 4 day vacation to a lake, had a wonderful trip and avoided all the hassles.
