Re: Concerned about a teenager son of my tenant

Certainly you should be concerned and should relate what happened to the mother. She may not know they are coming over. If the mother can not change the kid's behavior you will not be able to either. At the same time you do not want this kid being rude to your neighbors. If the behavior borders on the criminal, remind the mother of this and call the police if necessary. Perhaps the problem can be solved simply by asking the mother not to allow her son's "guest" over unless she is home. I am sure you realize by now that you should see every occupant who will be renting from you. Even the youngest. How they behave at the showing can tell you a lot about what to expect later.

I agreed and I am very sad about it because she just moved in two weeks ago and she is really nice and decent. I'll be talking to her this evening. I am wondering what excuses may I put in front ? I was thinking about two things 1 ) The security of a minor 2) the good reputation of our area.
She is working for the State. So, she knows I am not trespassing my rights, or am I ?
