Yes you can fire your attorney. Go down to the courthouse and explain that he/she is no longer the attorney of record and give them new information. Also ask them for any documents they may have on this case and get YOUR OWN copy.

Find an attorney that only does real estate type law...never a criminal lawyer.

You need to get going on this.....how long can you let this loser live for free and trash your place?

You're right, but because the tenant is section 8 I have to have AN attorney of record, even if it's not this one.

I will will look into how I begin the process.
