What type of finish is it - wood, laminate, etc? If you did charge tenant hundreds of dollars for the cabinet they would probably take you to court and I would guess that you would lose as that is way too excessive for a mark on a cabinet. I would probably charge them $100 and not more than that. Do you have photos of the cabinets before they moved in? If not they may claim it was there before they moved in. If it is a wood cabinet you can have the door restained.
