Re: Pet Deposit by Jake on March 10, 2012 @12:23

I can never understand why some landlords take a "nonrefundable" pet deposit. If damage results from the pet, the cost is taken from the rental deposit. So, what is the nonrefundable pet deposit for? Why not just increase the rental deposit when an applicant has a pet and the landlord believes the pet represents a potential for damage.
