Thanks ,my rent is due on the 1st of every momth so I didn't think 60 days was fair either.I am not even concernerd about my security deposit at this point,I just want to be out of here. This management company comes up with more excuses to make you pay extra money than the law allows.I have kept my place in prestine condition but 5yrs there is some normal where and tear.I am just waiting for her to call back with another claim trying to make me stay. All I know is strong-arming someone to stay does'nt work, you catch more bees with honey than vinegar:)

It looks like you have caught on to the game that management plays. When you move out, be sure to take a huge number of photos with a time stamp that not only show the condition of the apartment but the carpet, walls, paint, empty cabinets and drains under sinks in the kitchen and bathroom that show no leaks. The management may take you to court but I do not see how they would expect to win. That would also be your chance to counter sue for the deposit. If you have receipts that is good too because they will claim you paid late a number of times and tag your deposit with late fees.
