Hello Jake,is this 100% accurate that the Landlord can come after me if my Dad stops paying the rent under a month to month period when I move out before the original lease ended ?

It is 100% accurate if a new lease is not signed with your Dad without you on it. It does not matter if you leave or stay or how much notice you gave before you left. Without a new lease, the old lease is still in force. I will tell you another thing. If your Dad stops paying while under your lease, you will be named on the eviction too. This means a permanent hit to your credit and you will never be able to rent a decent place again or make major purchases like a car.
