I don't think that's a real thing besides a bad movie. Good info otherwise in this thread.

I will spare you the details but I saw it happen in real life. The death and the grades. In fact I was at the hospital when he was put on life support. Freshamn, college dorm if that makes a difference. The guys roomate died and he did receive A's for that semester.

How funny you think I get my information from some movie? No I post facts not fiction.

The guy didn't murder his own roommate! It was an accident, no one committed suicide. The death was caused by foolish behavior. : ( I am not sure what he was given. I do know he left school toward the end of the semester early. I did call him as I was upset and concerned for him and about him quitting school. He said he was going to another school after the summer and that he did receive a concession on his grades and would be okay. I might of remembered what he said wrong but I recall him saying, along with others, that he did receive A's. I contacted him a few years later and he ended up getting a broadcasting degree, so whatever the school did for him worked as he was able to grieve and continued on with his education.

I would call the school and find out what and if anything is going to be done. Maybe expressing her concerns for the students. The reason this was important to her is if the student is given something like this then he will be leaving the house early. If he is given something like this then that gives her the opportunity for a fresh start as well.
