The LL has turned away other good prospects in order to keep the property for you as promised in the lease agreement. If you break the lease, you are responsible for the rent and all re-leasing costs, including utilities, until the property is re-leased. Try to make a settlement agreement with your LL so you walk away and LL keeps the SD and pro-rated rent only. Otherwise, you're on the hook for potentially much more.
