<quote>If I was asked to sign a lease on the 3rd of the month with intent to move in on the 16th of the month and paid a deposit and prorated rent from the 16th-and I decedice not to move in on the 12th can they keep all my money. I never had possesion of the house because they where not giving me the keys to the property until until the 16th.<endquote>

Sounds like you signed the lease. Guess what? If that's so, you lose. Yes they can keep all your money AND hold you to the terms of the lease. Now you know there is a monetary cost to changing your mind. Live and learn.
