Re: Trampoline liability by OK-LL on March 15, 2012 @18:34

This is the sale of a peice of personal property. Would you hold the store responsible if you got hurt on it when you originally purchased it? Why?

It is a different question, whether you want to allow use of a trampoline on your rental property. My answer to that would be, don't allow it, too much potential for personal injury, although I can't imagine where your liability would lie in the tenant's use of his personal property for exercise & entertainment.

It's a bit like saying, if I fall off my treadmill and hurt myself, can I sue my LL? Unless the trampoline is defective when you sell it to the buyer, and you knew about the defect and didn't disclose that information, I do not think you would have any liability as the seller.
