"they left a lot of their goods here, have kept the key and say they will come back whenever they feel like and get the rest" They have not surrendered the property as they have gave notice that they will return. The landlord should post to enter and then record conditions and if no one returns under Florida law in 15 days, claim as abandon property and dispose of anything remaining according to law.

How would they post a notice to enter their own residence? Daughter and family were a guest of the parents. Daughter & family gave no notice, just told them they will come and go as they they please.
