I've done this a couple of times.

You place is in neat print just below your own return address.

And..you do get the envelop back if you use address service requested.

But the USPS website says address service requested will forward your mail to the new address and then send you a separate notification of the new address. Return service requested will return the envelope you sent out with the new address provided. Who knows? Maybe the computers get confused and just sees "service requested" and decides on its own what it thought you wanted to do, lol!
