Insurance claim for damage by Anonymous on March 27, 2012 @09:00

Has anyone successfully gotten their insurance company to pay for damages made by a tenant? If so, it seems easier than suing the tenant in court, perhaps?

You may want to call your insurance agent and ask this question. Seems to me if damage is caused by you, your invitees, guests, tenants, etc., it cannot be claimed as you are responsible for the actions of those individuals. Unless the damage rises to the level of vandalism, and you actually file vandalism charges, I doubt it can be claimed. But let us know what your agent says.
