I think that poisons or most poisons make them very thirsty so they leave in search of a local watering hole. I have never had a problem with smell using bait poison, but have with traps.

More than I like. All my properties are older FL homes (built on piers not solid foundations). Usually if we are going to have problems it is during the winter months or droughts. They move in either for heat or for water.
