I don't think you will be satisfied with your rental. My own house does not have doors and windows that are weathertight. I put "a cloth snake" on the floor during really cold nights... but otherwise a little air in a house is good for it :)
It's an older house.. if you want perfect doors/windows, pay more rent, or rent something newer. The home should be clean when you move in.

I get the impression from the person who posted, that they went through the walk through of the house, they are moving in on April and now they are concerned about all these things. I think they are having "renters remorse". Another rental looked better to them -- People who rent older homes are used to not perfectly sealed doors or windows - a floor with a little slant. From my perspective the poster is looking for things and as a landlord I would probably think this will continue throughout. This person would be asking for things -- a different paint color, updated kitchen, new storm windows, etc. every time I saw them. Something will not suit them.

I'm sorry that has been your experience with your tenants. But it has been my experience that tenants who are checking these things (window etc.) make the best tenants. Anyway why would a landlord let his property fall into disrepair as such. As the weather improves, tenants are opening windows, which should open properly. Perhaps as the days are brighter, the landlords poor repairs are now becoming obvious. If the landlord had properly kept the property up, this problem would not occur.
