I'm not sure how long it's been that you could garnish for damages but it's been a long time. Back rent has been garnishable for about 10 years.

6 years ago i had tenant who not payd to me it went smootly - she dod no show up and i had no idea how and where looking for her than i met in shop rite...i asked when she is going to pay my money she told never becouse she filled Bancrupcy.I did not get any notification.
