Re: Tenant electricity question

Update: our gas company came today to turn them back on. It turns out they had electricity because the gas company could not get into our basement to turn their electricity off. So at least we don't have to worry about ruined refrigerators on top of everything else! There seems to be a learning curve with all of this landlord business and we're trying to pick it up. I think I may have too gentle of a heart for it though!
Thanks for all of your help, guys.

Your skin will toughin' up as you go. Some things will still get under your skin, but at the same time what use to get your goat, doesn't anymore. I can remember the 1st time a tenant told me that they couldn't pay rent, I was PO'd. Didn't know exactly what to say or do. Now, in a calm voice "Sorry to hear that, best thing for you to do is to move" and I post my 3-day P/Q notice just to make sure they know I am not kidding. No longer get mad or PO'd about. Give yourself a chance. It isn't rocket science.
