I am even stuck further back that you are. Where the 16 year old daughter beats up the mother and the grand mother beats up the grand daughter.

She's been living there since 16 the boyfriend "moved in" in January of this year. And 16 year old daughter first hit mother at age of 14 because she was told to get off of the computer and go to bed. I myself did not hit my granddaughter, she was verbally assaulting me and I blocked her advances which threw her off balance and she fell. I could never imagine actually hitting her. Yes the situation for the past 7-8 years have been pretty bad, law has been involved numerous times and nothing seems to get done. For all of the domestic violence statutes in the State of Florida you would think something could have been done to prevent this in the first place if law enforcement in my county actually cared enough to get involved and help like they are hired and paid to do.

Your granddaughter was verbally assaulting you. So, she was yelling and cursing and calling you names. Maybe, she was really close to you while doing it, as in "in your face." But you had to physically (push, nudge, throw your arm or hand out to keep her from being in your face) block her?

Now, your granddaughter wasn't right to behave or advance on you as she has done. She obviously has anger/rage issues. She is definitely wrong for behaving that way toward you and her mother and then to be vindictive by calling the police on you. The judge and police punished you because technically you made it physical first when your granddaughter was only yelling at you albeit aggressively. I am not saying how they handled and ruled was appropriate and you are wrong for blocking her.

Do what another poster suggested. Have the electricity, gas and water service suspended. Is there a social service group that can help you? Do you qualify for elderly services from the county/state? If you do, you can try to claim elderly abuse because verbally yelling and raging at you is a form of abuse.
