I put it in my lease that the lease ends at 5:00 p.m. on the final day of the lease term or the 30-day notice (in case we roll M2M).

Thank you this is very helpful information and I really like this suggestion, it gives us enough time to do a walk through and make the necessary repairs, adjustments etc if the apartment is in good condition. Thanks for the reply.
