i am a cat lover and i understand people who treats cats almost like children but annoying when somebody calls him/herself PARENT OF THE PET.This is little to much for me but i think, that my dress is not completed with out kitty's hair on it;-)
What Micah said ,cat from cat is different.Lets think together what may happens;
- carpets--kitty urine smells like a hell and this is nothing you can do about or maybe somebody else has any idea?
- kitty litter-- goes everywhere(Micah said and he is right)
-door framing--cats has to sharp his/her claws...if owner does not care about, what kitty will use?Mostly your tenants couch, but also corners of your kitchen cabinets and door framing.
-fleas-- only one stubborn, killer resistant flea may produce thousands similar to it.And only 5% lives on the cat and, only about an hour daily...where rest of them lives? Yes.in your carpet, padding,in your sub floor.One cat in the house and you are inviting all fleas from yard to the fiesta.And you have fleas on your yard because you have raccoons, skunks,cheap monks, squirrels...And fleas will choice a cat because is fed better...
BUT...i had a tenant with 3 cats...no smell no fleas no damages.They were sweet,nice-like my tenant herself...;-)
