All Ts are separately and severally liable for the rent. That means no notice is needed, it matters not who pays what amount, the total rent is due when it is due. The issues between roommates is not of any concern to the LL.

The LL is my father. The agreement is between family. I was never told by the tennant that he was moving out not the LL until 2 weeks after the tennant moved out. This is about common courtesy. Family. If my LL wife wants to ruin that, then my dad n the rest will have to deal with it.

If you saw that your brother hadn't come home for several days and none of his stuff was packed up, why didn't you ask your brother directly if he moved out? Common courtesy would be for you to be concerned about your brother's whereabouts especially if you had a rumor that he moved out. You live with him. Why does the LL have to tell you if your brother is moving out before you actually concern yourself about him?

So??? You asking LLs their opinions. Most of us don't care about personal issues or relationships, it is a business. We can only provide you with information from our legal perspective. If you have an family issue with the LL, address it with your LL personally. BTW, I mistyped before it should have read "jointly and severally".

"This is about common courtesy. Family." It is about money. If it was not about money you would pay up. Why don't you pony up and show everyone it is not about money but responsibility.
