Civilans, while not active military, do support the Dept of Defense, the warfighter and the Nation. Cut them some slack and find an equitable solution. If she's already paid you one month rent after moving out, find another tenant and rent to them.

You can probably be a knucklehead about it but would you feel good about yourself afterwards?

(30 years active duty, now DoD civilian employee...still serving)
