In OK, "nail" is done by taping the notice to the front door of the rental -- I use 2" loudly-colored painter's tape (so it doesn't leave residue on my rental front door) and tape it so you can read it when standing in front of the door. I'm wanting this to be as visible and embarassing as possible. I have never had to prove in court that I "nailed" the notice, but must have the green receipt for the mailing to prove it was mailed on the same day. The notice has a line at the top that say "Posted on XX/XX/XXXX at XX:XX a.m.", and I hand-write the time when I post it.
